TURNING A STATIC DIAGRAM INTO A STORY OF FLIGHT.
TURNING A STATIC DIAGRAM INTO A STORY OF FLIGHT.
A self-directed motion design study exploring one of the most ambitious engineering systems ever built. This animation visualizes Starship's ascent, payload deployment, booster catch, and return sequence through clean, information-driven storytelling designed to make complex aerospace concepts accessible.

THE BRIEF
Modern spaceflight is incredibly complex.
Launches involve dozens of interconnected systems, multiple vehicles, orbital mechanics, and rapidly changing mission phases. My goal was to distill that complexity into a visual narrative that anyone could follow—without sacrificing technical credibility.
Rather than focusing on cinematic spectacle, the challenge was clarity.
My Role
This project was conceived, designed, and animated from the ground up.
I researched Starship's launch profile, mission architecture, and recovery sequence before designing a visual language that balanced technical information with clean, engaging motion. Every infographic, transition, interface element, and animation was created to communicate what is happening, why it matters, and where the viewer's attention should be.
